Gulf CDC Expert Hubs

Gulf CDC Expert Hubs are institutions (or segments of the institutions, e.g., departments, divisions, units, etc.). These are institutions such as health care facilities, research institutes, universities, laboratories, or public health agencies, from across the Gulf that have been identified as suitable for supporting the development and implementation of Gulf CDC public health programs and strengthening the institutional capacity in the Gulf states, in terms of information, services, research and training.

The main aim of a Gulf CDC Expert Hub is to:

  1. assist the Gulf CDC to achieve scientific excellence in all the technical outputs and activities within its mandate.
  2. contribute to the development and implementation of Gulf CDC public health programs and plans to ensure the best possible public health outcome.
  3. support strengthening the public health institutional capacity and expertise in the Gulf member states.
