Infectious Disease Programs

Programs focused on the prevention and control of infectious diseases, where infectious diseases are easily spread due to an injury, or through direct transmission, or indirect transmission through a vector agent, these causative agents can be bacterial, viral, parasitic, fungal, or prion. 
These infections include:

  • catheter-associated urinary tract infections
  • central line-associated bloodstream infections
  • surgical site infections
  • ventilator-associated pneumonia
  • hospital-acquired pneumonia
  • Clostridium difficile infections.
