The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control, represented by the Planning Department, held a workshop on Sunday, July 7, 2024, to develop strategic plans for the year 2025. A group of international experts and consultants participated in this workshop, along with all employees of the center.
The workshop included a comprehensive review of the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the center, and an analysis of the challenges and opportunities facing each department in achieving these objectives. The participants discussed the future directions of the center, focusing on the importance of keeping pace with developments in the field of public health and meeting the needs of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The workshop witnessed a presentation of the proposed projects for the year 2025, where it was emphasized that these projects are consistent with the strategic objectives of the center and meet the expectations and needs of stakeholders. The expected challenges were also addressed and how to transform them into opportunities for growth and development.
At the end of the workshop, the participants emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between the various departments to achieve the desired goals, and the importance of building new partnerships and strengthening existing partnerships with international and regional institutions was emphasized.
Through these efforts, the Gulf Center for Prevention aims to enhance its pioneering role in the field of disease prevention and control, and contribute to achieving better health for the population of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
