The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control launched the Gulf training program to improve the quality of early cancer detection, in cooperation with the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization.
The inauguration was attended by the program's work team, including directors of cancer programs in the ministries of health and trainees from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The program aims to train a number of trainers in each Gulf country on the basics of preparing and evaluating early cancer detection programs. The program includes in-person and remote training sessions and practical tasks extending for five months.
