The Gulf Health Council, represented by the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control, held on Tuesday and Wednesday corresponding to July 27-28, 2022, at its headquarters in Riyadh, a workshop to develop the work of the technical committee and review its new plan.
The two-day workshop discussed many important points, including the development and transfer of the work of the technical committees from the Gulf Health Council to the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control, introducing the Gulf Center, presenting the strategic plan, and presenting the outputs and achievements of the technical committees for public health for the year 2020-2021. A report on assessing the current situation of public health policies, programs and systems in force in the GCC states for 2019 was also presented. Experiences were exchanged and needs were identified by members representing the GCC states of the main committees.
