Legal review of the draft INB Pandemic Agreement

The Gulf Technical Committee for the INB Pandemic Agreement held a virtual meeting on December 28, 2023, organized by the Public Health Emergencies Department at the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
This initiative comes in response to the directives of the Technical Committee, which had previously expressed interest in previous meetings on the importance of the presence of a legal advisor to discuss the legal dimensions of the draft agreement. A specialized legal advisor participated in the meeting, where the discussion focused on the points of interest and provided the necessary legal guidance.
The mentioned meeting is an important step in the efforts to enhance international cooperation in the field of public health and to ensure the implementation of the INB Pandamaic Agreement in a manner consistent with the member states' national interests and sovereignty. The Gulf CDC has produced two review documents for the legal aspects of the INB Agreement for supporting the GCC Member States.
