The Gulf CDC participated in the seventh international meeting to discuss developments in the International Pandemic Convention and the global efforts made to combat the outbreak of epidemic diseases.
Dr. Naif Alharbi pointed to the role of multi-governmental organizations in enhancing cooperation and coordination between countries to address the health aspects of international crises. He said: “Global health challenges require an immediate response and effective coordination between countries and international organizations, and we are committed to cooperating with our international partners to achieve the objectives of the agreement and ensure global health security.”
The efforts made by the Gulf CDC to confront the challenges of epidemic diseases in the region were also reviewed, and experiences were exchanged. He also expressed his optimism about future cooperation and stressed the importance of unifying global efforts to limit the spread of diseases and address the health aspects of international crises.
