The Surveillance and Monitoring Network at the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control held its ninth regular meeting remotely on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, with the participation of network members from various Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The meeting began with a welcome to new members, followed by a review of the achievements of 2024, which supported the objectives of the Public Health Information Management Department and contributed to enhancing surveillance and monitoring systems in the region.

Additionally, the meeting featured a focus group discussion, where members shared their needs and challenges in order to strengthen communication and enhance data quality. These efforts aim to support data-driven health decision-making across GCC member states.
This meeting is part of the Public Health Information Management Department’s ongoing efforts to enhance regional cooperation and advance surveillance and monitoring systems, contributing to improving public health and disease prevention in the region.
