The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Gulf CDC) convened the meeting of the GCC Permanent Communication Network for Health Promotion and Lifestyle on Wednesday, 22 April, via videoconference, with the participation of representatives from GCC Member States. The meeting was held as part of ongoing joint Gulf efforts to promote public health and encourage healthy lifestyles across the region.
The meeting discussed key initiatives and programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles within GCC countries, including public health awareness efforts and initiatives designed to encourage healthy behaviors. Participants also reviewed preventive programs targeting the reduction of non-communicable diseases and the improvement of quality of life.
Participants further highlighted ongoing efforts in the areas of health awareness and prevention, emphasizing the importance of integrating national programs and coordinating awareness messages to enhance public understanding and encourage positive health behaviors across communities.
The meeting also explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise among Member States, supporting the development of evidence-based health initiatives and contributing to achieving a sustainable impact on community health.
This meeting forms part of Gulf CDC’s continuous efforts to strengthen joint Gulf action and advance the public health system, contributing to the prevention of non-communicable diseases and supporting the adoption of healthy lifestyles across GCC countries.
