The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control Concludes Its Participation as a Scientific Partner in the Bahrain International Public Health Conference 2025

The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control concluded its participation as a scientific partner in the Bahrain International Public Health Conference, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 6 to 7 November 2025, with the participation of leading experts and regional and international health entities.

This participation reflects the Center’s commitment to supporting joint Gulf efforts to strengthen health security, exchange scientific expertise in disease prevention and control, and enhance preparedness and response to epidemics and public health emergencies.

A number of Gulf CDC experts and specialists took part in the conference’s scientific sessions, which highlighted the latest studies and health practices in the region, including:

Expanding the NCD Lens: Opportunities and gaps in monitoring and evaluation for the Gulf’s evolving health landscape
Empowering Cancer Control Efforts: Advancing the GCC Cancer Registry
Predictive Modeling of Dengue Dynamics in the GCC: Challenges and opportunities
Creating Healthier Environments in the Gulf: Scaling up the “Healthy Settings” approach

The Center also participated with a dedicated booth in the accompanying exhibition, showcasing its key regional programs and initiatives.

This participation comes as an extension of the Center’s ongoing efforts to support joint Gulf health action and to reinforce its coordinating role in capacity-building and in enhancing the GCC states’ readiness to face future health challenges—contributing to the Gulf Health Council’s vision and strategies for a healthier, more prevention-oriented Gulf community.
