The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Gulf CDC) participated in the Sixth National Occupational Health and Safety Conference, held in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The conference brought together ministers, experts, specialists, and representatives of relevant organizations.

As part of its participation, Gulf CDC held several meetings with ministers and officials to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore opportunities to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in occupational health and safety, in support of Gulf efforts to improve working environments and protect workers’ health.

Gulf CDC also participated in a panel discussion titled “Workers’ Mental Health: The Foundation for a Sustainable Work Environment.” The discussion addressed the importance of supporting workers’ mental health and its role in enhancing their safety and well-being, while promoting healthy, safe, and sustainable workplaces.

This participation reflects Gulf CDC’s efforts to strengthen cooperation across the Gulf, promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and support joint action to advance occupational health and safety systems in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
